A range of Cawston Press and Dash drinks to help staff stay hydrated and energised

Staying hydrated in Spring

Hydration – remembering my first office thirst-quencher!

We’ve had some unseasonably hot weather recently which had me thinking about hydration. Specifically, when visiting clients in the City of London.

I vividly recall an appointment about 15 years ago. I arrived at a client’s office after a brisk walk on a very hot day – mind you, a suit was still mandatory back then (especially when visiting financial institutions). Completely parched, I arrived and, thankfully, reception had a water fountain which bubbled more than usual as I repeatedly filled the cup!

Once in the meeting my host, Sue, asked if I’d like a drink (not aware I’d just half emptied her water fountain) and said she could recommend a very nice sparkling elderflower. I was on a roll; it was a hot day, and I was sold.

My sparkling elderflower arrived, and I remember it being truly wonderful – not only very refreshing but also new to me. I think Sue was impressed that it made such an impact and went on to tell me her provider often suggested seasonal products, and this had arrived as part of their Spring collection.

Back then, Totally Tasty was just a twinkle in my eye but I remember recounting my experience to colleagues at the time. I felt a little disappointed that we didn’t provide the same seasonal products and service.

The impact of great refreshments

What’s amazing is that I remember this at all! Recalling distant memories isn’t really a skill I possess, but that sparkling juice has been stored away in my memory ever since. Along with my host’s name, the location and client name (they’re still clients and now we supply their drinks!).

The moral of the story? Well, as the temperature rises, you may have visitors arriving at your premises needing rehydration and possibly a sugar hit. Whatever you give them will taste several times better than it usually does! So don’t miss the opportunity to really impress and make it memorable.

There are a lot of benefits to good quality refreshments. On top of a mood boost, pressed fruit drinks and sparkling waters give an energy boost from their natural sugars.

Looking for some inspiration?

Cawston Press offer a perfect range of sparkling fruit drinks in six refreshing flavours. What I love about this range is how light they all are. With 80 calories per serving, they provide the right balance of hydration and an energy boost. There are no artificial sweeteners, industrial additives or added sugar – those calories come from the fruit they add.

Dash Water is a fruit-infused sparkling water with ten refreshing flavours. They’re fighting food waste with their delicious waters infused with “wonky” fruit. With zero calories this a great option for anyone who wants to drink more water but wants some additional flavour.

For those of us who prefer non sparkling, we stock a range of cold-pressed juices. These will keep you and your team hydrated this spring. We offer Flawsome!, Frobishers and Folkington’s, who all make pressed juices free from concentrates, preservatives and additives.
